Welcome to Gone Quilting! Inc. Summer hours are now in effect. We are open Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturdays, 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sundays are our day of rest. The best parking is at the rear of the store -- the parking lot is free while Main Street has paid parking. Just look for our back door, next to Home Town Drugs. Gone Quilting! Inc. was opened in May 2005 and has grown rapidly since then. In May 2010 we'll be having a big birthday bash -- be sure to drop by. Check out the May events in the "NEWS" section. And if you're having a birthday be sure to let us know; we have a birthday discount to help you celebrate. Joanne Misener and shop staff are always available to lend a helping hand. Join one of our fun-filled classes or book a custom class for you and your friends. Let us design a program with "You" in mind. Just visiting and don’t have all your quilting tools? Not to worry – sewing machines and sergers are available for rent and the classroom is equipped with cutting board and accessories. Let our staff know your needs; we’re sure to be able to get you set up for a day of fun. The Gone Quilting! staff is an important part of your visit. Please let us know how we're doing. Let me introduce you to our staff: Barbara Ataman has been our Thursday anchor since the day we opened. We think she was born with a sewing machine attached to her hand. Barbara loves to machine embroider and if you need a special quilt label made, she's the one to talk to. Ena Rietveld joined the team two years ago and has jumped into quilting with a passion. Be sure to look for the "All God's Critters" quilt -- she did it all by hand in 3 weeks. Barbara Hartwick is well-known throughout the area for her machine savvy and talents in fashion design. I haven't seen a machine that has beaten her yet -- and we've definitely had some challenges. If you are a novice looking to begin sewing, don't miss her Tuesday evening 'Learn to Sew' classes. Margaret Gage joined the Gone Quilting! team in September and has just taken a great, full-time job, so we are losing her at the end of April. But she'll be back as a teacher. We are currently looking to add to the team. If you are interested in being part of the shop staff, or sewing samples, please give me a call.
