CLASSES : SKILL BUILDERS SKILL BUILDER classes are designed to teach a specific skill set. Where appropriate, a project will be taught featuing the technique; otherwise, participants will be creating sample pieces for reference purposes. Suitable for Beginners or as a skill refresher.

INTRODUCTION These classes are designed to build your basic skill set. We suggest that your first class as a quilter should be a Sampler, where you will learn the terminology, get exposure to basic block construction (including appliqué, and English-piecing), drafting, rotary cutting, borders and binding. We call it “Soup to Nuts”. Every “Soup to Nuts” student will receive a Gone Quilting! binder for storing notes from this and other Skill Builder Classes.
We currently have a "Soup to Nuts" course underway, Thursday afternoons and Thursday evenings. Anyone who previously attended this program is welcome to come back for a refresher. Please call for more information (788-9982).
Our next course will be late winter/early spring, with a February start date. Registration has begun for this session, to be held Thursday afternoons. An evening session will be scheduled if required.
MACHINE QUILTING (Beginner/Refresher) This introductory course is designed to make you familiar with your machine, straight line quilting and free-motion. Bring your lunch as videos will be shown geared to build your skills and provide design ideas.

HAND QUILTING (Beginner/Refresher) Class will cover preparing your quilt and mastering the "ins and outs" of hand quilting.

PAPER/FOUNDATION PIECING (Beginner 2 or Refresher) Fun and totally addictive once you get the hang of it. A great technique for creating totally accurate miniatures.
